Some Mount Sinai Artwork

I wanted to share some examples of artwork that has been done in “The Zone” at Mount Sinai Hospital with the children.

The Zone is a therapeutic and educational play environment for patients and families to play, learn, laugh and relax. The Zone is a state-of the-art environment that offers a range of activities and opportunities that meet the special needs of children coping with illness and hospitalization.

My husband Adam continues to be one of my biggest inspirations in life. He is an amazing husband, fellow adventurer, and friend. He has many talents…one of which I’d like to showcase here – his photography! He has (quite literally) thousands of amazing photographs which can be seen on his site:

Here I’ve shared a few of my favorite photographs…so hard to pick, but these are just a few!

Almost graduation…

I cannot believe it is almost graduation…it’s just around the corner! May 17th!

These past 2 years have been an incredibly intense and often surreal journey. I have been accompanied on this adventure by my fellow art therapy classmates, who have enriched this experience beyond belief. My two internships at Housing Works, and now at Mount Sinai have been challenging and rich experiences and I have learned so much. Perhaps one of the most exciting parts is that the learning is just beginning…and it will stretch on into the rest of my life.

I am very excited to transition into an art therapist at Mount Sinai. I will be working there (no longer as an intern) but as an employee! The next few weeks will continue to be full as I finish up my classes and begin training at Mount Sinai.

Now that I am nearing the end of my grad school experience, perhaps I will actually have more time to blog:)
