It’s hard to believe, but on Monday I graduated with a masters in Art Therapy from Pratt Institute. The graduation ceremony was very moving, and included guest speaker/performer Patti Smith and film director Steven Soderbergh. My entire family came to NYC to be together and celebrate the culmination of 2 amazing years of school, experiences, and growth.
It seems so surreal to have graduated…I don’t think it’s quite hit me yet! Perhaps it will hit me when I begin working next week, as an art therapist – no longer an art therapy intern!
I will be working part time at Mount Sinai Children’s Hospital here in the city, which is where I did my second year internship. I will be continuing to lead individual and group art therapy sessions, in addition to new responsibilities…so the adventure continues, in a new form. I will post some pictures from graduation soon!
